The ACK Mombasa Memorial Cathedral Youth Sanctuary was alive with excitement and spiritual energy as the youths from the Diocese of Mombasa gathered for the highly anticipated Kenya Anglican Youth Organization (KAYO) 2025 Theme Launch.
The event kicked off with an electrifying Holy Communion Service from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, where the ACK Mombasa Memorial Cathedral Youth Praise & Worship Team led the congregation in powerful praise songs that set the atmosphere ablaze with joy and reverence. The highlight of the service was an inspiring sermon delivered by the Diocesan Youth Organizer (DYO), Mr. Olanga. His message was drawn from 1 Peter 4:10, emphasizing the importance of utilizing God-given gifts in service to others;a message that perfectly aligned with the newly unveiled KAYO 2025 theme, "Empowered to Serve."
Following the service, the youths gathered for a communal meal, fostering fellowship and unity among members from different parishes.
At exactly 2:00 PM, the congregation reconvened at the Main Sanctuary for an impactful worship encounter, marking the official launch of the KAYO 2025 theme. This sacred moment was filled with deep worship, prayer, and reflection, as the youth committed themselves to a year of dedicated service and spiritual growth.
The KAYO 2025 Theme Launch served as a call to action for all Anglican youths in the Diocese of Mombasa to embrace their roles as stewards of faith, empowered to serve both within and beyond the church community. As the new theme takes root, the spirit of service and commitment is expected to inspire transformative initiatives throughout the year.
